Richard Hodgson is trading as Blissful Serenity to provide massage services as detailed on this website.

The Terms and Conditions detailed below apply to all bookings made at https//:mobilemassagenearyou.com or directly by phone. Please note that by making an online booking with Blissful Serenity you are agreeing to comply with our terms and conditions.

1. Introduction 

All treatments provided by Blissful Serenity (we) are booked online and will last for the specified duration purchased, whether the massage takes place in our therapy room or in your premises. i.e. a 60 minute treatment will last 60 minutes.

  • You will receive confirmation and reminders for the booking via email and text message.
  • Please complete our consultation form prior to treatment. This will only take you five minutes. Clients will then receive their consultation in addition to their treatment. This form will be sent to you once you have made your booking.
  • Treatments will only be conducted if we deem the treatment is safe for the client to receive.
  • GP/Consultant permission may be required before treatments can be provided.
2. Payment terms

Payment will be collected in two instalments – 50% on booking and 50%, less any promotional discount at the initial consultation, and no later.

There is an option to pay in full when booking online so that a qualifying discount coupon may be redeemed. 

  • We accept payments in cash, bank transfer or by credit card for payment of the balance due at the massage session. Initial payments must be paid by debit/credit card online.
  • Invoices will be sent to clients electronically to confirm payments due, and paid.
  • If the therapist is unable to collect the final payment, for whatever reason, the massage will not proceed and the initial deposit of 50% will be retained to cover the time and expense incurred in advance of the session booked.
3. Mobile massage service
  • A parking space should ideally be made available to allow us to minimal time and effort to move our equipment from the car and into your premises.
  • Blissful Serenity have the right to charge for any additional expense incurred travelling to your location. This may include additional time taken to reach your property beyond our limit of 30 minutes travelling time; congestion or parking fees incurred; but these items may not be exclusive.
  • The price paid allows for an additional 15 minutes to set up and dismantle our equipment when travelling to your location.
  • Sufficient space is required to accommodate our massage table and to allow room for walking around it, while working.
  • We will not be held liable for any accidental damage caused to property while on your premises.
4. Inappropriate Behaviour

We will exercise our right to terminate a treatment immediately if a client demonstrates inappropriate or sexual behaviour.

5. Cancellation Policy
  • A booking is confirmed once a time, date, time, duration and location for a treatment have been agreed, with a deposit of 50%.
  • If a cancellation is made more than 24 hours before a treatment, the client will not be charged. Their deposit will be refunded in full.
  • If a cancellation is made within 24 hours of the treatment, any payments made will not be returned to you by Blissful Serenity, as it will be too late to fill your appointment slot with another client.
  • When booking and paying you are authorising us to retain the full cost of your treatment should you cancel the appointment with less than 24 hours notice.

If a client is experiencing symptoms of Covid-19 or has knowingly come into contact with someone with Covid-19 symptoms within two weeks prior to the treatment, the client must cancel their session with immediate effect. Their initial payment will be refunded in full.

6. Our right to cancel
  • We have the right to cancel a treatment by giving 24 hour’s notice.
  • We have the right to cancel a mobile massage treatment without notice if the room or environment is unsuitable for the treatment to be provided.
  • We have the right to cancel a treatment without notice if the client is intoxicated or inebriated.

We will rearrange treatment session to a new time and date within two weeks of the cancelled treatment where possible, if the therapist  becomes ill, or is incapacitated for some reason and therefore unavailable to attend the massage session booked.

7. Late arrivals ~ client & therapist
  • While we appreciate that unforseen events might delay you we do urge that you aim to arrive early for your appointment so we can commence on time. Neither are we able to add time on at the end, as we will no doubt have another appointment to prepare for.
  • If there is a no-show after 15 minutes the booking will be cancelled and the initial  instalment retained.
  • We will use our best endeavours to arrive at your location, if you have requested our mobile massage service. If delayed you will be advised and we will be happy to add the time back at the end of your massage session.
  • If we are delayed and either party to the booking has no choice but to cancel the booking we will either rearrange or refund your payment in full
8. Vouchers
  • Vouchers can be used as payment towards any available, advertised treatments.
  • Vouchers are valid for one use only and should be used up to their total value.
  • We do not allow any outstanding balance left on the voucher to be used against the cost of a massage service.
  • Vouchers are only valid up to and including their expiry date.
  • Gift Vouchers are valid as shown on the voucher up to a maximum of 12 months.
  • Gift Vouchers are non refundable, cannot be exchanged for cash and may only be used as specified on the voucher.
  • They cannot be used in conjunction with other offers.
9. Refer a Friend Scheme
  • All clients are presented with vouchers to offer to their friends and contacts entitling both parties to a 10% discount.
  • These may be redeemed at the time the second instalment is due for payment at the commencement of a massage session.
  • Those referred to Blissful Serenity are entitled to one discount per person whereas the client may make as many referrals as they choose and therefore receive a further 10% discount per qualifying booking.
10. Loyalty Scheme
  • Clients will be offered a loyalty card to bring to every session they attend. This must be presented to the therapist to maintain a record of each attendance they make.
  • Clients will receive a free massage once they have attended 10 sessions.
11. Feedback Forms
  • Clients will receive links to websites on which they may post a review, following their massage. This will be a Google Review or a review which may be added to the Blissful Serenity website, or social media including Facebook.
  • Content may be used in publicity material and on the website, with the permission of the author
12. Website Content
  • Website content will be administered and managed at the discretion of Blissful Serenity, including testimonials
  • Photographs will only be displayed with the consent of those featured in the photograph.
  • Photographic consent may be obtained by Blissful Serenity verbally, or in writing if the client completes a photo release form.
  • Photo release forms can be requested by email
13. Privacy
  • Client treatment details will not be discussed with anyone other than the client.
  • All clients must complete a consultation form prior to receiving their massage.
  • By signing the consultation form, clients are giving us permission to hold records and data about them in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
  • Personal information will not be shared with any third parties.
  • Consultation Forms and treatment notes will be kept on file, securely by Blissful Serenity.
14. Complaints Procedure

If a client wishes to make a complaint about Blissful Serenity, this must be emailed to massage@mobilemassagenearyou.com
Complaints must include the date and location of the incident, the full name of the complainant, details of the complaint and a desired outcome following the complaint

Blissful Serenity is fully insured for professional and public indemnity, by Holistic Gold Insurance Services

The massage services provided are not a substitute for professional medical care and no medical diagnosis, advice or treatment will be provide. You should always refer all medical matters to your General Practitioner, or other qualified medical practitioner.

18. General

  • Blissful Serenity will not be liable for any failures in the performance of any of their obligations under these terms and conditions caused by factors outside their control.
  • Blissful Serenity reserve the right to restrict, suspend or terminate access to it’s website and/or services for any reason at any time.
  • We accept no responsibility for any interruption to the Blissful Serenity site and /or services for reasons beyond our control.
  • This Agreement supersedes all prior agreements, arrangements, warranties and understandings between you and us.
  • These Terms and Conditions do not affect your common law and statutory rights.
  • These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with English law, and any dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
